Simple Mentoring Course: Project Brief & Key Messages

This project brief served as the foundation for all written and produced content within the Simple Mentoring course. My role focused on developing and documenting core messages, audience insights, and narrative guardrails to ensure clarity and consistency across scripts, leader guides, and supporting materials.

The brief translates research insights and partner vision into accessible language, prioritizing warmth, simplicity, and trust over jargon or expertise-driven framing

Donor Email Campaign

American Heart Association End-of-Year Fundraising Emails

This email pair demonstrates my approach to donor-centered copywriting that prioritizes hope, emotional resonance, and clarity over fear-based urgency. The goal was to support an end-of-year fundraising effort while honoring the lived experiences of donors who often have a personal connection to heart disease.

The primary message reframes giving as an act of protecting meaningful moments, positioning generosity as a way to support longevity, prevention, and time with loved ones rather than focusing on crisis or loss

Approach & Strategy

I began by developing a donor persona rooted in empathy and shared values, including family, health, and long-term impact. I reviewed existing American Heart Association language to align tone and metaphor, then crafted copy centered on progress, community education, and hope.

For the follow-up email, I used AI as a drafting tool while maintaining editorial control — refining narrative flow, removing overly specific or fictionalized details, and ensuring the final copy remained cohesive, human, and donor-first.

Social Content

Short-form copy written to support connection, clarity, and participation across community-focused platforms.

My social writing centers tone, audience context, and emotional timing. Each post is designed to complement visual storytelling, reduce hesitation, and invite engagement without pressure. The examples below reflect work created to guide understanding, encourage reflection, and make next steps feel accessible.
