Developing a Church-Wide Communication Strategy & System

Communication requests were coming from multiple directions, including emails, in-person conversations, and last-minute texts. This led to confusion, unclear priorities, and inconsistent messaging across platforms. The creative team lacked a structured intake and planning process.

My Role

  • Created a centralized request form to standardize how communication needs were submitted

  • Developed a communication plan outlining timelines, approval processes, and content expectations

  • Coordinated workflows across writers, designers, videographers, and digital platforms

  • Led training sessions to introduce the new process and gain buy-in from a staff of over 60

Results

  • Reached 95 percent adoption of the new system within two months

  • Improved consistency and quality across all communication channels

  • Reduced last-minute requests and enabled better planning

  • Increased collaboration and clarity between ministry leaders and the communications team

Taken from my presentation that I used to roll-out the process & on-board new teammates.
